According to several reports, rapper Lil’ Wayne has missed a court appointment that was scheduled earlier this week due to an emergency dental problem.

Lil’ Wayne was scheduled to appear in a Yuma County, Arizona court on Tuesday to face charges stemming from an arrest on January 22. But according to Lil Wayne’s lawyer, James Tilson, the rapper had an emergency dental procedure in which he had several root canal operations and was urged by his dentist not to travel.

“As a result, the court waived his appearance for that hearing,” Tilson told the Yuma Sun. “He still must appear at future hearings.”

The charges Lil Wayne is currently facing are possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons, possession of drug paraphernalia, transportation and or sale of a narcotic drug, and transportation or sale of a dangerous drug.

Lil Wayne has pleaded not guilty to all of the above charges and the next court date will be on October 9.

According to WebMD.com, the harmful effects of wearing a grill can include the collection of bacteria which can create acid, tooth decay, gum problems, and bad breath.

It’s crazy reading about all the hip-hop artists either being sued, ordered to pay money, or hemmed up behind drug and/or weapons charges. Are these artists that much different than other artists or being singled out because “Team Hip-Hop” is a favorite target of the police? It’s the same sh*t in sports too. Home Run King Barry Bonds is bein’ run through the injustice system for “alleged steroid use” or “lying about steroid use”, yet four time Superbowl Champ, Terry Bradshaw, flat out admitted using steroids while playing for the Steelers. Interestingly enough, Bradshaw was immediately excused by the same hypocrite sports announcers who hate on Bonds using Terry’s “aww shux, I didn’t know no better” excuse.. BTW, anyone hear anything about Too Short’s court appearance on August 13th? I hope they didn’t justify stealing his new studio to satisfy the court. 100′s
