Monday Night: Local Louisiana rapper Chris Lynell Jackson, A.K.A. Nu$$ie was shot and killed, relatives said at the crime scene.

Nussie had made quite a following for himself within the last four years. He had performed at various night clubs in the Louisiana area, including in Thibodaux, White Castle, and Plaquemine. If you knew who Nu$$ie was, then you knew his album “The Champ Iz Here”, which came out last April with Dope Celebrity Records.

The details of what had happened last night (Monday Feb. 9th, 2009) were reported by Capt. Kelley. He noted that officers responded to an injured man with a gun shot wound on North Boulevard around 11:24pm. That man then told the officers that another man (Nussie) had been shot in a nearby house.

When officers got to the home of Jackson on America St., they found him gunned down.

Although, Capt. Kelley was unable to release the identity of the deceased, Jackson’s sister Ashley Richardson, had noted to the press that her brother was the man inside the house.

damn, it’s messed up how many ppl in baton rouge have lost their lives within the last couple of months. go on myspace and u would see almost everyone has something posted about a loved one that was killed in the past few months. when will ppl realize that killing isn’t the answer. despite the fact that whoever killed him didn’t like him u have to take into consideration that this man had children. and now his kids don’t have a father due to one selfish motherfucker with murder on his mind. dat’s really fucked up. killing is never the answer in any case.
its so sad that NU$$IE had to go down like this.
he would’ve made it big. when i met him he was soo nice and so was all his family and friends! he didn’t deserve this.

I think that it is tragic. Another life lost over jealously and envy. There’s enough fish and bread out there for all men to get feed. C’mon niggas ( and I use that word because that’s what we acting like) it’s 2009.History is being made out here for us and all ya’ll worried about is the things you have or don’t have.
