DMX is facing an assault charge for throwing his food tray at a corrections officer.
DMX was reportedly on a “bread and water” diet for punishment of previous run-ins with authority while being incarcerated. After being accused of stealing his food, the rapper proceeded to throw his food tray at the corrections officer.
His refusal to report for a work assignment and a subsequent shouting match after refusing to take his medication placed him in solitary confinement, with his new strict-diet. This new charge could add an additional 8 years to the rappers current 90-day sentence in jail.
“This inmate has a serious anger management issue and shouldn’t be allowed out of jail or prison until he has it under control” said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in an interview with AZfamily.com.
