Lil Wayne

February 16th, 2009 |

Lil Wayne has been sued again, this time by a New York concert promoter after he didn’t show up for the third consecutive time. Edward Strickland is suing Wayne and his manager for $1.3 million after he says Weezy took a $100k advance back in October and hasn’t got anything in return.

This is the third time that Lil Wayne has cancelled the show in Rochester. Refunds are available at the point of sale or customers can take tickets to the Blue Cross box office or contact Ticketmaster. Weezy’s lawyer Cortez Bryant says “Now that Wayne’s doing these bigger shows, he wants to make sure that all of his fans are getting the same experience,” he said. “It would have been too difficult to travel with the entire band, then turn around and head to Calgary the next day. We didn’t want the Rochester fans to get any less of a show because of logistics. We wanted to deliver the same caliber show we’ve delivered along the tour.”
