Interview By: ESTAXX
In preparation for her tell-all book Tia’s Diary: Deeper Than Rap which hit stores and online on May 25th, Tia Kemp spoke with KeepItTrill to provide us this exclusive interview. Tia is the second baby mother of hip-hop artist Rick Ross and has been doing interviews with a lot of popular radio stations throughout the United States. Most of us remember her when we saw footage of 50 Cent taking her and her homegirl on a shopping spree in New York. Tia is the mother of three boys, two of which are from a previous marriage, with the third being Rick Ross’ three-year-old son William Roberts III. Tia tells us that Ross has not attempted to see his son in the last four months, as she has been preparing to unveil her tell-all book entitled Tia’s Diary: Deeper Than Rap. The book will be about her own personal struggles with poverty and being a single mother, as well as exposing the lies she claims Ross has told about not only their relationship, but about his own past.
KeepItTrill.com: I would like to welcome you to KeepItTrill.com and would like to say thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule for this interview with us. So let’s get started and please introduce yourself for the people that don’t already know who you are.
Tiallondra Kemp: Hello world, I’m Tia Kemp, the mother of Rick Ross’ son.
KeepItTrill.com: I have been on the internet reading people’s comments and also talking to people out here in Miami. Most people think that your book will be all about Rick Ross. Can you tell the people how much of the book is about your relationship with Ross, and how much of the book is you?
Tiallondra Kemp: 80% of the book is about my life and the other 20% is about my relationship with Rick Ross.
[smartads]
KeepItTrill.com: How did you and Rick Ross meet each other?
Tiallondra Kemp: We actually met at a club on south beach in Miami early 2004.
KeepItTrill.com: How long did you and Ross date each other?
Tiallondra Kemp: We dated for about 3 years.
KeepItTrill.com: Being that Ross comes from a single parent household from Carol City, most people have been under the impression that Ross comes from the same financial struggles that most of his audience endures…is this not the case? On your first interview with Shade45 you said that Ross comes from a privileged background. Can you share with the world what exactly you meant by that?
Tiallondra Kemp: Ross came from a family where he had both mom and dad in the household. Both of his parents had college degrees and made a substantial amount of income.
KeepItTrill.com: On this website we keep it trill. Do you know of any other jobs Ross had back in the day, besides being a rapper? We all know he was a C.O., but how real are his tales of street hustling?
Tiallondra Kemp: He had a job when he was younger as a medication transporter. That’s the only other job I know about besides him being a Correctional Officer. As for being a hustler in the streets, those are all rhymes and it’s not true. He has no street credit at all. He doesn’t even have a criminal background.
KeepItTrill.com: On your recent interview with Angela Yee you stated that there are a lot of issues with E-Class and Rick Ross that caused them to go their separate ways. This is probably the biggest topic that people have been talking about that was just swept under the rug. Can you tell the world what were the issues that lead them going on their separate ways?
Tiallondra Kemp: I really don’t know the exact reason they fell out with each other. There are so many different stories that I’ve heard I wouldn’t know what or who to believe. But I do know that E Class is managing Trick Daddy right now, so….
KeepItTrill.com: Ok, so…everybody wants to know, what’s up with you and 50 cent? What kind of relationship do you have with him, is it business, romantic or are you just friends?
Tiallondra Kemp: It’s business and we’re just friends. I just took advantage of a great opportunity.
Keepittrill.com: Let’s switch things up a bit. I know some of the ladies would like to know how you have managed to deal with your past relationships and some of the experiences that you went through. What have you learned about your self as a woman, mother, & spouse?
Tiallondra Kemp: I’ve learned that I had to be very confident and strong. And no matter what, anything is possible.
KeepItTrill.com: I want to give you the opportunity to sell your book to our viewers. Tell the members and viewers of KeepItTrill why they should buy your new book entitled Deeper Than Rap. Can people pre-order the book?
Tiallondra Kemp: I think the world should go out and purchase this book so that they could get to know who I am besides only knowing me as the mother of Rick Ross’s son and the truth about Rick Ross. And yes you could pre-order the book at amazon.com.
KeepItTrill.com: How would the fans or the press get in contact with you if they need to interview or book you for any events?
Tiallondra Kemp: Well you can contact my management at (954) 816-6645 or biyachandler@yahoo.com. You also contact Nelson Taboada (G Unit Records) at (845) 367-3233 or nelssss@g-unitrecords.com. And make sure you guys add me on MySpace and Twitter…. twitter.com/tiatoldme and myspace.com/officialtiakemp.
KeepItTrill.com: Thank you for providing KeepItTrill.com with this exclusive interview. Are there any last things you want to tell the fans of KeepItTrill.com?
Tiallondra Kemp: I just want to say thanks to KeepItTrill.com for having me and make sure you purchase my book which will be in stores worldwide on May 25th, 2009!
