A judge decided on Wednesday that the $44,000 in child support a month that Nas was paying to estranged wife Kelis was not enough.

According to the Associated Press, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cunningham III raised the Queens rapper’s monthly support payments to $51,101. After a two-day hearing in court Cunningham determined that Nas made enough money in the last several months to increase the sum.

Despite the financial loss, Nas’ lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, managed to convince the judge to stop the Illmatic MC from paying expenses on the ex-couple’s Los Angeles home.
