Not only does he hold the ranking of sixth all-time for VMA winners, but Eminem bares the title of having the best-selling album of the year 2010, with a total of eight nominations for “Recovery.”

On September 12th, he will grace the stage of the VMA’s to provide yet another fan-riveting experience. Aside from his comical encounter in 2002 involving Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Eminem has added excitement to the VMA performances for several years. Noteable is his year 2000 “Night of the Living Shadys” gig, in which he, alongside an army of clones, performed the song in the streets of Manhattan, proceeding to march into Radio City Music Hall.

With Chelsea Handler hosting alongside DJ Deadmau5, various artists will join Eminem in the award ceremony such as Kanye West, Drake, B.o.B., Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, and Ne-Yo.

To vote for the winners, fans may visit VMA.MTV.com (or text VMA to
97979 — if they are Verizon subscribers,) to vote for the winners from today to September 12th. The 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12 at 9 p.m. ET.
