American born boxer, Floyd Mayweather, was arrested in Las Vegas and charged with Grand Larceny. He was released for a bail of $3000 from Clark County Jail shortly after being booked. As depicted by his mugshot, Mayweather appears to have a cordial disposition despite his situation.
Allegedly, the professional boxer beat his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, in front of their three children, proceeding to steal her telephone. The couple separated officially during May, due to many “on and off years,” according to Harris. Mayweather may face up to five years in prison for stealing Josie’s $500 iPhone. The police failed to find any signs of abuse on Harris, and have yet to charge Mayweather on that account. Five years prior, she attempted to have a restraining order placed on Mayweather, claiming he had beaten a previous girlfriend. Harris has now been granted a 30-day protective order. In the nine page request, she states that Mayweather pulled her hair, punched her in the head, and twisted her arm while she screamed at the children to phone 911. “He yelled and screamed that he was going to kill me and my boyfriend,” Harris wrote. “Floyd has threatened to have other people do harm to me as well and if (there) is a way I can be protected from that please help me.”
