Charlotte, North Carolina R&B singers, K-Ci and JoJo, who are responsible for the platinum selling music group Jodeci, consisting of two duos of brothers — Dalvin and Donald ‘Devante’ DeGrate and Cedric ‘K-Ci’ and Joel ‘JoJo’ Hailey — and later as a duo “K-Ci and JoJo,” will soon have their own reality television show on TVOne.
The reality show, entitled “Come Clean,” will consist of nine-docu-series-episodes, will depict the brothers residing under the same roof together for the first time in 10 years, as they attempt to salvage the remainder of their career after suffering from drug addiction and alcoholism. The two will be involved in a series of medical treatments, physical training, and spiritual therapy in order to keep them focused as they attempt to overcome alcoholism and fresh-slate their careers.
In a sneak peek, K-Ci & JoJo sat down with Dr. Thema to discuss the roles they have played in each others lives. K-Ci says that if it wasn’t for JoJo, Jodeci would never have came to be. K-Ci discussed how he was the Lil Michael of the family (Little Cedric & The Hailey Singers), and he was placed on a pedestal, aiding JoJo in coming to the conclusion that it was his time to immerge as an artist, rather than sitting on the sidelines. K-Ci explained he had to beg to be part of the group, with a hesitant JoJo, who informed Devante he felt K-Ci was immersed in “his own thing.”
“K-Ci & JoJo…Come Clean” premieres October 19 at 9PM ET on TVOne.
