Southern legend and one half of the iconic hip-hop duo Outkast, Big Boi, has been staying hard at work to deliver new music to his fans. In his latest interview with Vibe, Big Boi revealed that he has been working on his upcoming album Daddy Fat Sax.

“I have music that’s a continuation from what I was working with the Left Foot album. I’m trying to narrow it down from like seventy-seven records. I’m trying to cut it down, I’m only going to give them ten records this time.”

While Jive Records wouldn’t clear Andre 3000 for an appearance on Sir Lucious Left Foot, Big Boi hopes that he will secure a spot for his long time partner in rhyme on Daddy Fat Sax.

“Hopefully, if Jive let it happen we’ll see what happens” Big Boi stated. “But I’ll definitely be on his album. I’ll be on his record. He’s been working on it for a minute, just grinding hard, been in the studio for a minute and just getting it together”

One song Big Boi is positive will appear on Daddy Fat Sax is one that features Raekwon and Janelle Monae, which he revealed didn’t make the cut from his previous album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty.

In addition to working on his album, Big Boi has also been working on collaborations with fellow Atlanta artists Pill & Killer Mike, as well as Black Owned C-Bone.

“It’s all about putting out good music and staying true to the artform and to the culture. Staying lyrically aggressive and keeping the funky as stanky as possible”

Keep It Trill will continue to bring you more news on Daddy Fat Sax as it comes available.
