We at KeepItTrill had the opportunity to interview Orlando’s own P.I. Bang who is buzzing all over the Orlando area. In this exclusive interview with KeepItTrill, P.I. Bang breaks down his label situation, addresses the beef rumors with Big Gates Records own Fella. He also gives us an inside look on some of the collaborations he’s been working on and gives his thoughts on Orlando music scene.

KeepItTrill.com: For those who aren’t familiar with you, let our readers know who you are

P.I. Bang: P.I. motherfuckin BANG aka the Mayor of Orlando aka the hottest nigga in Central Florida PERIOD!

KeepItTrill.com: You grew up in Orlando also know as O-Town in Florida, a state that generated rappers like the Uncle Luke, Trick Daddy, 2 Live Crew, Rick Ross, Flo Rida, and many other names. What and who is your influence as an artist?

P.I. Bang: I am influenced by anybody who came from the streets hustling and turned their hustle into a legit hustle with this music. It’s not just people from Florida it’s some people like Jay Z, 50 Cent, Young Jeezy, Master P, Trick Daddy, Cash Money

KeepItTrill.com: For our viewers that don’t know can you tell them what does P.I. Bang mean?

P.I. Bang: My government first name is Prince. When I was 15, my friend from NY had an uncle named Prince. They called his uncle P.I. for short so my friend started calling me P.I. & as I started Rapping I added the Bang to it (referring to a pistol) hence the name P.I. Bang

KeepItTrill.com: How was it like growing up in O-Town as a teen?

P.I. Bang: Just like any other hood. Shit, I started hustling when I was 13. Orlando’s hoods aren’t any different from any other hoods! Incase you are wondering Disney World is like 45 minutes from my hood, don’t get it twisted!

KeepItTrill.com: Can you share with us your label situation?

P.I. Bang: I’m Independent got my own label called Fresh off da Block. I’ve had a couple labels step to me but they were offering me less money then I already had so I signed myself.

KeepItTrill.com: Last year you had the streets of Orlando on smash with your singles “Trap Keep Jumping” and “I’m On It”. Now its 2011 what single can we expect from P.I. Bang?

P.I. Bang: I got “Pop 1 Pop 2″ featuring 36 Mafia’s Lil Wyte & Dee Boi and a crazy record for the ladies called “She Wanna Fuck” featung a RnB Singer Stefon4u

KeepItTrill.com: On this site we keep it “TRILL” so keep it “TRILL” with us….. You just drop a song called “Cat Burglar” which you is taking shots at Big Gates Records own Fella. In the song you stated “Keep it all the way 1,000 ni*** like a ni*** hating or some sh** ni*** when you know its about paper!” Can you tell us what the beef between you and Fella of Big Gates Records is really about?

P.I. Bang: At one point Fella and I were cool. We were both doing our thing out in Central Florida and both had songs with some of the same producers. After numerous conversations he told me how he couldnt pay his rent because his label was fucking him and he only makes money off of Show Performances. So he then stepped to me about doing some business outside of music and I fucked with him on it. Business was cool for a minute, then when he got behind in payments, at one point he said he was gona pay me back after his next Show Performance. After weeks of not coming up with the money he sent me a text message that said “Fuck U, I ain’t paying you shit”.

KeepItTrill.com: Also on the “Cat Burglar” you stated “With you hand me down jewelry ni*** your label paying for your house ni***” is that statement a true or is it false about Fella?

P.I. Bang: True Statement: as far as the hand me down chains go back and look at Plies old photos (Before Fella was signed) and he was wearing the same I-75 piece that Fella is currently wearing. As stated before, in the previous conversaton Fella told me the label was paying for his house.

KeepItTrill.com: Can you share with us and how did you come up with the “Cat Burglar”?

P.I. Bang: Everyone knows what a Cat Burglar is but how I came up with the name for the song is that: after people started finding out I had a problem with him, I had several people who were close with him (at one point in time) reach out to me and tell me different stories and that he was a petty theif and breaks into people house when they ain’t home.

KeepItTrill.com: Ok let’s step aside with the beef and etc and get into your music…. What are your plans for 2011?

P.I. Bang: I’m shooting about 5 Videos in the next couple months, gonna tap into other markets with Bang 4 Mayor (my current Street Album) & trying to put together a mini tour, imma keep working as long as I keep getting the great responses I am getting from this music thing!

KeepItTrill.com: Any new projects you working on?

P.I. Bang: Working on my next Street Album is “Bang of America” Dropping Spring/Summer 2011

KeepItTrill.com: Are there any other Orlando artist that people should watch out for aside you?

P.I. Bang: Dee Boi, 1090 Blokk Boyz, Kevin Cossom, Stefon4u……everyone else gotta pay for the promotion lol

KeepItTrill.com: In this industry there are artist that claiming to live the dope boy life and some artist are rapping about someone else life not their own. What is your opinion about artist that does that?

P.I. Bang: I feel like me personally, I cannot listen to them. I can’t feel that music. I can tell that the Jeezy’s, 50 Cent, T.I.’s etc that really come from that. The game is full of 90 percent fake shit, if u poor u poor, rap about that, i can respect that! Keep it Real!

KeepItTrill.com: How you feel about the music scene in the Orlando area?

P.I. Bang: It’s taking a while but it seems like its coming along, typical “Crab in the bucket” city.

KeepItTrill.com: What are some collaborations you are working on, or want to grab for your next project?

P.I. Bang: Imma keep that a surprise until everything is official!
