Nicki Minaj Leaves Diddy, Hires New Managers
Nicki Minaj seems to be cleaning house.
After parting ways with Waka Flocka’s mother Debra Antney who served as her manager early last year, the Young Money First Lady had reportedly enlisted Diddy’s services in helping steer her career.
Yesterday, nearly a year at the helm, Nicki has left Diddy and James Cruz for greener pastures, reports XXLMag.com. She’s now being managed by Gee Roberson and Kyambo “Hip Hop” Joshua, and their company, Hip-Hop Since 1978.
The two industry vets already have a roster that boasts Lil Wayne, Drake, Young Jeezy and Just Blaze.
The reason for Nicki’s split with Diddy was unknown at press time. However, a separate source tells XXL that Nicki felt Diddy was going to be more hands-on with her career, but was disappointed when her expectations didn’t pan out.
There’s no ill will between the trio, though, according to the source.
Nicki has not publicly confirmed the reports.
