Fans will soon get a chance to hear new music from Lil Wayne, despite the recent push backs of Tha Carter IV.

Young Money President Mack Maine recently hit twitter to announce plans for an official mixtape from Lil Wayne.

“BREAKING NEWS!!! Lil Wayne Mixtape “SORRY 4 THE WAIT” coming soon!!!!! #C4boom” he tweeted.

The mixtape will come prior to the release of the highly anticipated Carter IV album, which Wayne continues to hype up on his current “I Am Music II Tour”.

“I plan on touring forever, actually… Probably when I’m like 50, I might be like, ‘Let’s go, gimme some dates’ ” Lil Wayne said in a recent interview with MTV.

The rapper, who has been touring all summer, says that he has no plans to ever quit music and wants to tour forever.

“I actually plan on being one of those artists that can go on a tour when they’re like 40, like U2, Michael. I actually plan on being one of those artists, with all the music and all the work I’m putting out, I believe that later on down the line, I can do Vegas. I can be the first hip-hop artist to do Vegas every night. That’s the plan.”

Tha Carter IV is currently scheduled for an August 29th release date.
