Lupe Fiasco Responds To Bill O’Reilly ‘Pinhead’ Comment
Amidst the recent backlash for the comments rapper Lupe Fiasco made about President Barack Obama being “the biggest terrorist in the United States of America” last week, Hip-Hop hater Bill O’Reilly took to the airwaves last night to offer viewers his two cents on the matter.
“You may remember the name Lupe Fiasco. I wish I had that name,” Bill O’Reilly. “He is a Chicago rapper who often says outrageous things…Mr. Fiasco has been invited on ‘The Factor’ but has declined, possibly because he could not possibly defend that remark, which makes him a pinhead. Now the reason I say I wish I was named Lupe Fiasco, wouldn’t it be great, “The Fiasco Factor”? I mean, it would be tremendous.”
Minutes later, Lupe responded on his Twitter with the following, claiming he was never invited on the show:
“Whoa! I got invited to the O’reilly factor and turned it down??? Thats news to me…would NEVER turn down the opp to push billys buttons!” Lupe tweeted.
In related news, it was announced yesterday that Lupe has begun work on his 4th studio album, tentatively titled Food & Liquor 2.
After the recent commercial success of L.A.S.E.R.S. made record label executives very happy with the hits “Out Of My Head,” “The Show Goes On,” and “Words I Never Said,” fans are anxiously awaiting a return to the Lupe Fiasco of Food & Liquor, and The Cool fame.
“Me being an artist, I’m never happy with my work, because I don’t ever think it’s finished,” Lupe told Billboard.com. “It’s hard for an artist to walk away from a piece and say, ‘okay, that’s done.’…It’s really taking the lessons I learned from “Lasers,” and applying that to Food & Liquor. That’s really it.”
There is currently no release date for Lupe’s new album.
