Queen Latifah Announces Talk Show Plans
Rapper and actress Queen Latifah recently revealed that she could be starting a brand new media venture.
The New Jersey Hip-Hop artist has said that she will be launching a syndicated talk show on US TV in the autumn of 2013.
The show is all set to be produced by Latifah’s own Flavor Unit Entertainment, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television and Will Smith and James Lassiter’s Overbrook Entertainment.
And it won’t be the first time that the rap star has hosted a talk show: Latifah played host on the successful Queen Latifah Show between 1999 and 2001.
As an actress, Queen Latifah has starred in a string of hit TV series and films, notably gaining an Academy Award nomination for her role in Chicago in 2002.
Amongst her other production projects is the forthcoming drama, Percentage, starring rapper, Cam’ron. Her next acting role comes in Ice Age 4: Continental Drift.
