Rap star Wiz Khalifa is facing a lawsuit from a man who claims the Pittsburgh-based rapper stole his hit single “Black & Yellow.” A songwriter named Max Gregory Warren filed suit in United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Warren claims he wrote a song called “Pink N Yellow” in November 2007 and copyrighted the track in February of 2008. Warren claims that prior to his song being officially copyrighted, Wiz Khalifa, producers Stargate, as well as label Rostrum Records, stole the concept for the song.

The suit accuses Wiz and his producers of engaging “in a scheme to defraud plaintiff out of the fruits of his copyright of the Subject song.”

Warren is seeking $2,375,000 in punitive and actual damages.
