So far, Atlanta based rapper 2 Chainz has had a pretty successful 2012. He has had features on tracks from Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music label, and has been working on his solo career.

Tuesday (April 24), the rapper who used to go by the name Tity Boi as half of the duo Playaz Circle, took on a new project, guest editor at VIBE Magazine.

2 Chainz wrote a segment for VIBE listing his personal top 5 most influential rappers. His list includes E-40, Birdman, Too Short, Scarface, and Kanye West, who he recently collaborated with on Mercy, which also features G.O.O.D Music rappers Big Sean and Pusha T.

“I got this far from not listening to other n****s. But with that said, these are the people in the game that I do pay attention to when they’re speaking. They always got some game to put me onto,” 2 Chainz explained.

The rapper called E-40 an “innovator” and that he always had a good time talking with him. He also said he always pays attention when Birdman and Weezy are talking and described Too Short as an “OG” and “game personified.” He considers Kanye West a “musical genius,” and wrote that Scarface is a “wise man” who has “seen a lot.”
