Rocawear shows the ascent of a king in their first ever commercial featuring Jay-Z.

“Wherever you grow up, that’s your root, right?” Hov asks. “My goal was to have one gold album, and that was it, and then it became, ‘I want to show that artists can extend to the executive ranks.’”

Aptly titled “From Marcy To Barclay’s,” the commercial shows the Brooklyn boy in his element, reminding us that’s he more than a business man. The 30-second spot also showcases snippets of the projects to Shawn Carter building his brand in New York to a performance at the Watch The Throne tour, inspiring artists to be more than their music.
