Shooting for the sequel to X-Men: First Class will begin in January.

While Fox was in conflict with Lionsgate over Jennifer Lawrence, who stars in both X-Men and The Hunger Games trilogy, they’ve resolved to shoot for January while filming for the next installment of the Hunger Games can begin in August or September.

Though Lawrence’s role in Hunger Games is much larger than her part in X-Men, Fox has the right to exercise their contract, which predated her role in Hunger Games, if shooting for the two continued to conflict.

The Hunger Games studio initially wanted too “hold” all the actors for seven months in connection with shooting the sequel titled Catching Fire, however they dropped the time frame after complaints from Fox and other interested parties.
