2 Chainz To A&R Ludacris’ Forthcoming Album “Ludaversal”
2 Chainz recently revealed to fans that he would be weighing in on Ludacris’s next album as an A&R man.
Although 2 Chainz was sparse on the detail of his involvement, he explained his general plan for working with the Grammy Award winner, Ludacris.
“My job is to give him beats from my perspective, from where I come from,” he told CBS Local. “I have a long history of club shows and rocking out and he’s a more venue artist. So I’m just trying to give him some looks from my eyes and perspective.”
2 Chainz was open to explaining his professional approach to the Ludaversal project.
“I’m just submitting beats from my eyes, different from what Luda usually does, that’s why he hired me,” he said. “Me and Luda are definitely two different artists. So, it will be different. I do a lot of clubs. So I’m just submitting 2 Chainz s***. Different things I think he would need or doesn’t f*** with.”
Producers, Da Internz, recently gave an insight into the LP’s content.
“This Ludaversal album is a statement,” said Tuo.
“This album is crazy,” added Kosine. “We’re just happy to have a bunch of joints on there. We got a record that I think Chicago’s gonna be real happy when they hear it ’cause it’s like the Chicago sound, a little bit of that juke thang. And then of course we got some of that hood, that “A$$” bass that you love. Da Internz swag is definitely on there.”
Ludacris plans to drop the Ludaversal LP on his 35th birthday, September 11, 2012.
