50 Cent Hospitalized For Stomach Virus
Fif has taken to the social media site whilst in hospital. Despite his current hospitalization, due to a stomach virus, 50 has kept fans up to date with a constant series of tweets.
“I’m in the hospital but my gangsta grillz LOST TAPE is done so it will be out on time. http://lockerz.com/s/209485818,” he wrote on Wednesday (May 16).
“I don’t want to go into surgery. @FloydMayweather call my phone why your phone off http://lockerz.com/s/209486827,” he added.
Later, he wrote, “Do not do a @djdrama gangsta grillz this is all I get. Ain’t this a b*tch. I give 15 tracks you give me this. http://lockerz.com/s/209491970.”
This is not the first time 50 Cent has made light of his health situation for his fans. The rapper was hospitalized in 2009, after collapsing in his Manhattan offices. By the time an ambulance arrived, 50 had regained consciousness, but complained of blurred vision and a severe migraine. The rap mogul was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital, and received a Car Scan and EKG, revealing some damage to the rapper’s auditory cortex, the region of the brain which processes sound. On that occasion, 50 Cent claimed to have been listening to Fat Joe’s J.O.S.E. 2 at the time of his collapse, and jokingly blamed Joe for his medical troubles.
50 Cent’s hospitalization comes as he is working on his forthcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape.
“I’m back on the streets man, it’s goin’ down,” he told Mixtape Daily when asked about the project. “Gangsta Grillz, the first Gangsta Grillz, it’s been long overdue.”
Fif will release the 13 track mixtape, The Lost Tape, with DJ Drama on May 22.
