M.I.A. has joined Jay-Z’s roster of artists.

The details of the signing will be available soon, but the news that M.I.A. has signed to Roc Nation was announced on Thursday (May 24) afternoon. Yo! Raps learned that the news had appeared via the Roc Nation website.

The Paper Planes singer joins a list of artists that include the likes of Rihanna, Wale, Shakira, Santigold, Ester Dean, Meek Mill, and Melanie Fiona. Rihanna made a gesture towards the signing on the social media platform, Twitter, writing “Welcome home MIA.”

M.I.A.’s forth studio album, Matangi, is said to be dropping soon on Interscope Records, and the Sri Lankan singer is already making a remix to her smash hit Bad Girls. The track is set to feature guests, Missy Elliott, Azealia Banks, and Rye Rye.

M.I.A.’s contract comes a matter of weeks after rapper, Meek Mill, also signed to the Roc Nation label. On that occasion, Meek explained the decision to sign to Jay-Z’s label.

“We just decided to partner up with Roc Nation and take things to another level,” he said. “I think it’s going to take me to the next level. I’ve got Warner Bros. behind me, Maybach Music Group, and Roc Nation; some of the most powerful people in the game. That’s like 80 percent of the game right there. You know, Ca$h Money, they like family. So it’s like you’ve got everyone on your team at one time, and it feels good to have all that behind you at once. It’s like a force that can’t be stopped.”
