2Pac Hologram Creators To Resurrect Second Music Legend
Digital Domain Media Group are planning a new hologram.
The company sparked both admiration and criticism at this year’s Coachella Festival, when they created a life-like hologram of legendary rapper, Tupac Shakur, to perform on stage. Fans were surprised when the hologram rapped alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at the festival.
Now, Digital Domain Media Group are resurrecting another icon. The company plans to create a hologram of the King of Rock N Roll himself, Elvis Presley.
The Wall Street Journal reports that on Wednesday (June 6), Digital Domain Media Group and Elvis Presley Enterprises announced that work had begun on “a series of digital Elvis Presley likenesses for shows and multi-platform entertainment projects.”
The chief creative officer at Digital Domain explained that talks had begun with Elvis Presley Enterprises following the appearance of the Tupac hologram at Coachella. Although work began on the project earlier this week, no more details have been revealed, so it is unclear when and where Elvis will be making his first performance.
