Adidas Reveals adiZero Feather 2 Running Shoe
Adidas launches their new 6.7-ounce adiZero Feather 2 last week, keeping with the theme of their Crazy Light basketball sneaker in being the lightest shoe in its respective industry.
The Feather 2 is one of the lightest everyday running shoes Adidas has built to help make athletes faster.
“Every athlete knows the importance of running to get faster for their sport and the adiZero Feather 2, one of the lightest running shoes on the market, will take their training to the next level,” said Mikal Peveto, director of running for adidas America. “What excites us most is the tremendous response we’ve already seen from athletes across the board — from running to football to soccer. This is more than just a shoe for runners; it’s a shoe for the athlete who wants to reach higher, jump further and be faster.”
Athletes such as Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller and Buffalo Bills running back CJ Spiller have tried out, and loves the new adiZero Feather 2.
The pair are also featured wearing the sneaker in Adidas’ latest marketing program.
“What I do off the field, in training, makes the difference on game day,” said Miller. “It’s called the ‘Feather’ for a reason. This is the lightest shoe I’ve ever run in for training.”
The Feather 2 includes Adidas’ patented SprintFrame technology, which significantly reduces shoe weight while maintaining comfort and returning energy to each stride. TORSION technology allows freedom of motion in the front and back of each shoe. The SprintWeb, a lightweight mesh construction, provides maximum support and breathability while adiPrene+ and an adiWear rubber outsole ensure long-lasting durability and traction.
The adiZero Feather 2 will drop in early July for $115 in 8 colorways, and be available through Adidas.com and retailers nationwide including Finish Line and Champs.
