Snoop Dogg’s son has been made a scholarship offer by the university.

The news comes just weeks after P. Diddy’s son faced an onslaught of criticism for accepting a scholarship from the same institution. Now, Snoop’s eldest has been given an opportunity to accept a football scholarship too.

Cordell Broadus begins his sophomore year at Diamond Bar High School this autumn, having played both defensive and wide receiver on the freshman team for the past year.

Diamond Bar High School football coach, Ryan Maine, told ESPN that Cordell is expected to take a more and more prominent position within the team.

“We’re expecting him to really lead us the next three years,” he explained, describing his hopes for the Diamond Bar High School team. “Hopefully [our athletes] get bigger, stronger and keep leading this team.”

Controversy surrounded Justin Combs’s decision to accept a scholarship to UCLA earlier this year. The scholarship offered to Justin gives him a free ride to college, an arrangement which fellow students felt was unfair, given his father’s vast sums. Critics suggested that the scholarship should only be offered to students from a lower tax bracket.
