In a recent interview backstage at Boston’s JAM’N 94.5 Summer Jam concert, rapper Tyga revealed that YMCMB will be releasing their second album as a group.

Tyga was actually overseas when YMCMB leader Lil Wayne told him they were given the official okay to begin recording a new album.

Unfortunately, it seems as if fans will have to wait a while for the new compilation project to be released. Tyga explained during the interview that many of the YMCMB artists are currently working on solo projects.

“Wayne’s working on his album. Drake’s on tour. Nicki’s on tour. I’m on tour, so it’s crazy, Tyga said. “I’m actually about to work on an album with Chris Brown. We’re doing Fan Of A Fan 2, so I gotta get back to LA after this and start working on that.”

During the interview, the rapper also spoke about how he got his start in music and meeting Travie McCoy of alternative Hip-Hop band, Gym Class Heroes. Tyga and McCoy recorded the song Coconut Juice together early on in Tyga’s career. The two often introduce one another as “cousins.” They are not actually related, but feel very close to one another.
