50 Cent Says Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo Need To Step Up

It seems that things aren’t all sweetness and light between 50 Cent and his two proteges.

50 recently spoke out about Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks, claiming that he had managed their careers and handled much of the business side of things for them. Now, the G-Unit captain feels that it’s time for the pair to step their game up.

In an interview with XXL Magazine, 50 Cent said that he felt Yayo and Banks needed to find their own management. 50 Cent was somewhat self critical in his assessment of the situation, and did not entirely blame the G-Unit MCs for the way things have turned out.

“I’ve enabled them to a point where they feel like they don’t have to do anything,” 50 explained. “I end up doing their job, too.”

“They haven’t had a manager,” he said. “I’ve been managing them for their entire careers. That $8.7, $9 million a piece. I did that for them. I’m telling them since the top of last year, ‘Yo you got to find managers.’”

He had more to add specifically on Yayo too. “Yayo has to do a lot more, ” he stated. “He just doesn’t do what he’s supposed to do.”
