It’s looks like Brett Favre is returning to football, but just not the NFL. The legendary quarterback is reportedly set to make his return as a high school coach.

According to ESPN.com, the 42-year-old has taken an assistant high school coach at Oak Grove High School, near his home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

His agent, Bus Cook, told the Associated Press that Favre will work at the high school this fall “to help out in some capacity, but I’m not sure exactly what his role will be.”

Local papers said he’s expected to serve as offensive coordinator. Apparently, he’s helped Oak Grove, unofficially, in previous years.

Favre retired from the NFL in 2010. He has kept a low profile in Hattiesburg since he retired, rarely conducting interviews, but is occasionally seen at Southern Mississippi’s football or baseball games.
