Steve Nash has officially signed and been welcomed to the Los Angeles Lakers, and now, his Phoenix Suns teammate Grant Hill is also headed to L.A. … but as a Clipper.

According to ESPN.com, the 39-year-old forward has agreed to a deal with the L.A. Clippers, reportedly for two years.

Sources said the Clips are currently trying to work out a sign-and-trade deal with the Suns. But, if they can’t, Hill will likely sign for the Clippers’ $1.9 million biannual exception.

If it’s a sign-and-trade, then backup forward Ryan Gomes, who is due to make $4 million in the final year of his contract, would be the player headed to Phoenix.

The Clippers have been adding pieces to complement their core of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. And, have been searching for perimeter players. So far, they’ve signed shooting guard Jamal Crawford and re-signed guard Chauncey Billups this summer.

With the addition of Hill, the team gets more depth at the small forward position behind starter Caron Butler.
