Lil Wayne & Rihanna Among ‘Highest-Paid Celebrities Under 30′ List
Forbes rolled out a new list on Thursday (July 12), their “Highest-Paid Celebrities Under 30″ list, and it’s ruled by women with 22-year-old Taylor Swift leading the way.
Thanks to a huge tour, which reportedly grossed more than $1 million per night, with more than 65 dates in all, Swift raked in around $57 million over the last 12 months, helping her beat out every one celebrity on the list. Her 2010 album, Speak Now, is also a money maker, selling more than 5 million copies worldwide.
Aside from Taylor, six women grabbed the top 10 slots in the newly released list, while Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, and actors Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson are among the men who made the list.
Bieber was at #2 with $55 million; Rihanna came in at #3 with $53 million; Lady Gaga landed at $3 with $52 million; and Katy Perry rounded out the top 5 with $45 million.
Rihanna lands on the list thanks to hits like top-selling single, “We Found Love” and “Talk That Talk,” as well as endorsements with Vita Coco and Nivea. Her fragrance, Reb’l Fleur, adds millions more. And, of course, her heavy touring schedule has included over 85 shows in the past 12 months.
At #8 was Lil Wayne, whose Tha Carter IV sold nearly 1 million copies in its opening week last summer. The bulk of his earnings came from shows, with over 50 in the past 12 months, grossing upwards of $600,000 per night. Additionally, the rapper has launched a clothing line, Trukfit, and inked his first big endorsement deal, a multimillion dollar pact with Pepsi’s Mountain Dew.
