Lil Wayne is focused on his skateboard skills these days and to celebrate, he was recently gifted with a pricey piece of jewelry that centered on his new obsession. A person close to the rap star went to Avianne & Co., the diamond district-based leaders in custom jewelry and wedding rings, to have a custom diamond skateboard pendant crafted for him.

The undisclosed buyer of the piece went to Avianne & Co., to have it made of 18-karat white gold. In addition, the skateboard pendant is encrusted with round cut black diamonds and high grade round cut white diamonds. There’s also functioning wheels on all corners coated in glossy red enamel.

Tha Carter IV creator recently spoke on his newfound love for skateboarding. Fans can expect less lyrical work from him as a result. “It’s kinda putting rap on the back burner, that’s all. Rap’s taking a backseat to skating, that’s all,” he told DJ Drama during an interview on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 on Wednesday (Aug. 1).
