When Waka Flocka Flame burst onto the scene two years ago, critics wrote him off, saying he wouldn’t last. It’s 2013, and after two successful albums, he’s prepping his third: Flockaveli 2.

In a recent interview with MTV, the southern rap star his plans for 2013, which includes an upcoming mixtape — entitled DuFlocka Rant 2 — and his third studio LP, which will include works with Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and Swizz Beatz.

“I just got out the studio, Timbaland walked in; I ain’t have to call for that. That’s something I was gonna grab,” Waka told MTV. “Everybody I wanted to get on a song basically walked in the studio.”

As of press time, Flockaveli 2 didn’t have a release date. Stay tuned…

Waka’s DuFlocka Rant 2 mixtape, however, is scheduled for release, February 5th.
