Despite all that's gone on between them, Rihanna told a radio interviewer on Thursday (November 19) that she still misses ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and doesn't turn his music off when it comes on the radio.

When asked on Atlanta's Q100 if she misses Brown, Rihanna said, "Sometimes ... actually yes. There are a lot of reminders, like a lot of hotel rooms, a lot of places we've been to together, music. ... There are different things that come up that are reminders of your ex."

Brown, who was in court on Thursday for a status hearing tied to his probation for assaulting Rihanna in February, has spoken several times about how he still pines for Rihanna. He has said he wishes he could be with her, despite a court order to stay 100 yards away for the next five years.

"When [Chris' music] comes on on the radio, I don't snub or turn it off; I listen," said the singer, whose new album, Rated R, comes out on Monday. "I like his music."

Like with any breakup, Rihanna said there are things that make her think of Brown from time to time, and it's been hard to move on. "I've gotten over it," she said. "But there's definitely constant reminders, and a lot of it is listening to the radio and songs coming on, songs that were our favorite songs, or his songs."

Brown, who was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days of community labor when he pleaded guilty to felony assault in the case, told MTV News that he's not quite ready to date again. And Rihanna quickly shot down rumors that she is already moving on with alleged new beau "90210" star Tristan Wilds.

"I don't even have his number," Rihanna said. "I had a house party, this is funny, and you know how you have house parties, and people come over that you don't even know. He came by, which was fun for me, I appreciated the company. He brought a bunch of friends, and everybody's hanging out, but I don't even have his number, so I don't know how I could be dating him."

While admittedly a "very flirty girl," Rihanna said she's not dating now because she doesn't really have a lot of time, or energy, for a commitment. "A relationship really is another life, another career, really."
For a quarter-century, it's been an American institution that has transformed its host into one of the wealthiest, most influential people on the planet. Now, Oprah Winfey is pulling the plug on her massively successful syndicated TV show.

The president of Harpo Inc. — the backward-spelling production company that has overseen "The Oprah Winfrey Show" since its 1986 debut — confirmed Thursday (November 19) that 2011 will be Oprah's last season on the air. In a press release to the television stations that air the show, Harpo head Tim Bennett said that the talk-show queen will announce her decision live on the show Friday afternoon, according to multiple media outlets.

The move is widely expected to give Oprah more time to concentrate on her own cable channel, as well as the almost endless list of media ventures that she currently fuels with her hit-making reputation.

"We have the greatest respect for Oprah and wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors," CBS Television Distribution said in a statement. "We know that anything she turns her hand to will be a great success. We look forward to working with her for the next several years, and hopefully afterwards as well."

The New York Times reported that Winfrey, 55, informed her staff of the decision on Thursday.

Winfrey has recently been working hard on planning the launch of "OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network," a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Harpo. The channel is scheduled to premiere on cable in January 2011, which could give Winfrey about nine months to publicize the channel on her talk show before it leaves the air.

Good day Bossip readers! We told you it was coming! If you didn’t get a chance to read last week’s post in which women went in on the fellas about the things that aggravate them to the nines and the responses … well, it was gender biased to say the least. But to be fair, we wanted to give the fellas a fair chance to express their thoughts and feelings about women. There’s always time and space for a good, healthy battle of the sexes. It is safe to say that both men and women tolerate a great deal from each other; however, each feels as though what they tolerate is way more than their significant other. In other words, women feel like they carry the load and so do men! Each gender feels that the other gender has it easier. The cycle is never ending. The gender specific gripes range from constant nagging to false claims of domestic violence. Either way, it’s more than worthy of discussion! Take a look at the first 5 things men hate about women and leave your thoughts in the thread! Ladies, be prepared for part 2 next week!

1. I hate a nagging a** female. Women who are always on my back and yip-yapping about how wrong I do every little thing really pi**es me off. Like she’ll ask you to do something and she’s standing over your shoulder critiquing you and telling you how to do what she asked you to do. Then halfway dismiss you to try and do it herself. Then she’ll get sensitive when I snap back like “let me do this! Didn’t you ask me to do this? Shut up!” Ladies, don’t fuss! - Brandon, 27

2. I can’t stand a frontin’ a** woman! In the beginning a woman will cook, clean, workout. Keep her body on point, all of that! She’ll get you excited and tell you all the things she’ll do to keep her man happy and at home and once she got you, she stops trying! She’s eating oreos and ice cream at midnight, picking up fast food for dinner, ain’t seen her hit the gym since we made this thing official. Don’t sell a dream! If you don’t like to cook, say that! If you really not the outdoorsy/ go hard in the gym girl, don’t fake it, ma! - Jonathan, 30

3. A dirty female is a major turn-off. I can’t stand no nasty woman. If you nasty then let me know up front. I was really digging this girl and whenever I would go over to her place, it was very clean and neat everything was in place. I thought she was almost too clean. Then she switched it on me. Man, we kicked it for about three or four months and the more and more I saw her, the more careless she got. So I was like okay, I want to see how dirty she will let her place get. Wow. She had a thick black ring in the shower, toilet was dirty with splatter stains and the kitchen?! Brah, I knew she was too good to be true. - Tre, 32

4. I hate when women try to match a man’s strength and strong arm you, swing at you, throw punches at you … that’s unladylike. I had this one girl who would get violent and aggressive or try to evoke emotion out of me whenever I said something she wasn’t feeling. She would just start swinging, biting, name-calling all that sh*t. What I’mma do? Get my a** beat? No. I’m not going to beat on a woman and so a woman won’t beat on me. You talk about a double standard, when you pin her down and tell her a** to calm down, she want to go call the police and play the victim. Thats’ a woman for you. - Lionel, 36

5. Jealous women make life hard. I was with this chick for a while and the more time we spent together, the more jealous she became. I would be at the coffee shop on the phone with her and she’d hear a female in the background and she would make a smart remark like, “why were you flirting wit her? Was she cute?” Or if I worked late, I’m banging my co-worker. If we have an argument, I’m cheating. At the restaurant, “I saw you looking at the waitress’s booty, you want to f**k her, huh?” She was just outlandish. She’s also giving me all the leeway to do those things. - Marcus, 27

A Highland Park teenager was shot to death execution style after he confessed to inappropriately touching his 3-year-old half sister. Detroit police...

A Highland Park teenager was shot to death execution style after he confessed to inappropriately touching his 3-year-old half sister. Detroit police say Jamar Pinkney Sr. barged into Jamar Pinkney Jr.’s home, where he lived with his mother, and beat the boy before ordering him to strip naked. He then led the frightened 15-year-old out into a field where he shot him to death.

Lazette Cherry, Jamar’s mother said she was only trying to teach her son discipline when she called his father and told him what the boy had done. “I called and told his father this isn’t something you sweep under the rug,” Cherry said Wednesday.

Pinkney Sr., who was separated from Cherry and lived with the 3-year-old and her mother, rushed to the home with a gun.

“He started beating him right here,” Cherry said from her living room. “I said, ‘No, please stop!’ “ She said Pinkney Sr. marched the boy naked out of the house — in full view of neighbors — and ordered him on his knees.

“He got on his knees and begged, ‘No, Daddy! No!’ and he pulled the trigger,” Cherry said from her home on North Street in Highland Park. “There wasn’t nothing that my son wouldn’t do for his father. He loved his father so much.”

Jamar was shot once in the back of the head. Pinkney then calmly drove away. He was arrested 3 hours later and charged with one count of first-degree murder, three counts of felonious assault and one count of felony firearm.

Cherry said the 3-year-old’s mother took the girl to a hospital to be examined Sunday. She said Jamar told her he never raped the child and kept his clothes on.

A physical exam showed no evidence of sexual trauma.

Pinkney is being held without bond.

THIS IS A DAMN SHAME!!!!

A guy like Brad Pitt can do anything he likes. He's handsome, he's talented, he's rich, he's funny and outspoken ... and apparently he gets to play sci-fi-action-type video games long before the rest of us. (Bastard!) Variety reports that Mr. Pitt and his Plan B production company have snagged the rights to an upcoming Capcom game called Dark Void. Their report indicates that the game is about "a pilot who crash lands in the Bermuda Triangle following a routine mission and wakes up to find himself in an alternate world."

You can learn more about Dark Void at its Wikipedia page. For example, I just learned that the awesome Bear McCreary is doing the music for the game. (I say keep that guy around for the movie version.) You can also see a bunch of nifty Dark Void artwork over at Capcom's blog. Could this be the beginning of a swanky new action franchise for Brad Pitt? I say the guy has earned one by now.

More information on this project as it becomes available. At this point I just want to check this game out. It looks pretty cool.

You’ll remember Little Reid from MTV’s My Super Sweet 16, when [some would say] we got to see just what a conceited little sh*t he is. Well, despite his ego (thanks to all the work his father has done), some girl met him in Miami and still agreed to sleep with him. The only problem is that he was a disappointment - lasting only 10 minutes before passing out on the girl. So what did she do? She got out her camera and took pictures. The unnamed girl hasn’t released them yet, but she’s reportedly asking blogs to help her expose him.

According to reports, three U.S. Army soldiers were arrested Tuesday after police pulled them over for speeding in a rental car. After the stop, Phoenix, Arizona police found 680 pounds in marijuana in the vehicle as well as $10,000 in cash.

And get this, they all had on their military uniforms and showed their military I.D.s. I guess being a veteran was no cause for police not to take a further look into what the soldiers were doing.

The three men, Dwayne Campell, Llewellyn Stamoulis and Romaine May were charged with suspicion of marijuana possession, drug transportation, money laundering and conspiracy. Stamoulis was also booked on a count of driving with a suspended license.

Talking about riding dirty. Something tells me they should have stuck with Uncle Sam because crime just ain't for them.

Oscar's Documentary Shortlist: No 'Anvil,' No 'Capitalism'

Image: http://www.blogcdn.com/www.cinematical.com/media/2009/11/statuette.jpg The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences documentary committee...

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences documentary committee has watched the 89 eligible docs that were submitted and whittled the field down to 15 finalists, from which the five Oscar nominees will be chosen. But before we even get there we gotta talk about the snubs.

Notably absent from the shortlist are Michael Moore's Capitalism: A Love Story and the highly praised Anvil! The Story of Anvil, which last month earned the distinction of being the first "for your consideration" screener sent to Academy members this year. Last year's best-reviewed documentary, Man on Wire, went on to win the Oscar; Anvil! holds that title this year (98% at Rotten Tomatoes), but it's not even going to be nominated.

Other noteworthy titles not among the top 15: Tyson (about the boxer, not the chicken company) and The September Issue (about Anna Wintour and Vogue magazine). Michael Jackson's This Is It and Chris Rock's Good Hair didn't hit theaters until October, qualifying them for next year's documentary category -- for docs, the eligibility period is September-August, not January-December. (This Is It might not be eligible anyway, since Academy rules forbid films that are "essentially unfiltered records of performances," which could apply here.) The highest-grossing documentary of the year, Earth, isn't eligible because it was mostly repackaged material that had already aired on TV.

Here is the complete shortlist:

The Beaches of Agnes (which Cinematical's Jeffrey M. Anderson called "a strong contender for the year's best documentary")
Burma VJ
The Cove (our review)
Every Little Step
Facing Ali
Food, Inc. (our review)
Garbage Dreams
Living in Emergency: Stories of Doctors Without Borders
The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers
Mugabe and the White African
Sergio
Soundtrack for a Revolution
Under Our Skin
Valentino: The Last Emperor
Which Way Home (our review)

Any other snubs we missed? And of these 15, which would you choose as the nominees? What have you thought about documentaries in general this year?
